Welcome to Race Weekend
Important Updates and Announcements will be made on Discord and over the speakers. Please make sure someone is keeping an eye on the Discord Event Channel. If you need a parent/student to join the Announcement Server, they can do so by following the instructions on the Event Program linked above.
DISCLAIMER: A RACE DIRECTOR HAS THE AUTHORITY TO MODIFY THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW AT THEIR DISCRETION.
The paper you scanned was in your team’s designated pit area. HOLD ONTO THIS PAPER. YOU WILL NEED IT LATER IN THE INSTRUCTIONS.
Each team has been assigned a Pit Area. The numbered orange cone has been placed in the center (left to right) of your assigned Pit Area. You should have space to set up without encroaching on your neighbors. Be respectful to your neighbors and work together to ensure everyone has enough space to operate.
Install your team’s first heat batteries and have your car race-ready before you arrive in line for Scrutineering. Bring your team’s second heat (and spare) batteries to the Battery Quarantine area before the start of the Safety Meeting.
Making sure your car(s) is/are ready for Scrutineering is the TOP PRIORITY this morning. Setting up your Pit Area is secondary to having your car(s) race-ready.
Please check Discord for the Scrutineering location and information. The Scrutineering Window for today’s event is from 7:45 AM - 9:15 AM. You must be in line for Scrutineering by 8:15 AM local time. If you are not in line for Scrutineering by 8:15 AM local time, you will receive a 10-point penalty. You can still get in line after 8:15 AM local time, but your tardiness may result in a delayed inspection of your car, depending on Race Official availability.
After passing inspection, the Scrutineers will direct you to your Pre-Grid Yellow Cone. Once your car has been placed at your Pre-Grid Yellow Cone, no work is to be done on the car without the approval of a Race Official. Transponders will be placed on the cars in the Pre-Grid area for each age group.
While the team is unloading your car(s) and equipment, an ADULT representative should bring to Race Check-In the following items:
Orange Cone numbering your Pit Area (one for each car)
Laminated Placard with your Team Name and QR code (one for each car)
COMPLETED Scrutineering Form(s) for each car - Remember, this is a 10-point penalty if you do not have it correctly completed upon check-in for the event.
Upload waivers for the event to your team’s Google Drive folder. Keep the hard copies of the event waivers with you at all times.
